Crisis in Rwanda - 1993
10 Minute Documentary:
This documentary was created by three 8th graders who attended Fort Settlement Middle School. It was created to address the failure to intervene on the part of the international community. The creators entered this documentary in the National History Day Competition. The documentary did extremely well and advanced easily up to the state level where it was eliminated based on questionable and probable bias in the judging. This version of the documentary was editing and revised for the Holocaust Museum of Houston which played this documentary for the opening night of their Rwanda exhibit.

Invisible Children of Uganda
In the spring of 2003, three young Americans traveled to Africa in search of such as story. What they found was a tragedy that disgusted ... all » and inspired them. A story where children are weapons and children are the victims. The "Invisible Children: rough cut" film exposes the effects of a 20 year-long war on the children of Northern Uganda. These children live in fear of abduction by rebel soldiers, and are being forced to fight as a part of violent army. This wonderfully reckless documentary is fast paced, with an MTV beat, and is something truly unique. To see Africa through young eyes is humorous and heart breaking, quick and informative - all in the very same breath. See this film, you will be forever changed.

Growing up we were told that the Apollo 11 was the first manned mission to land on the Moon. It was the fifth human spaceflight of the Apollo program, and the third human voyage to the moon. Launched on July 16, 1969. Supposedly Neil Armstrong, Michael Collins and Lunar Module Pilot Edwin 'Buzz' Aldrin were the first to step on the moon. THIS WAS A LIE!!!!

North Korea, officially the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), is a North Asian country situated on the northern half of the Korean Peninsula. Its capital is Pyongyang. Its northern border is shared mainly with China. Russia shares an 18.3 km (11.4 mile) border along the Tumen River in the far northeast corner of the country. To the south, it is bordered by South Korea, with which it formed one territorial unit known as Korea until 1945, when the country was divided into two separate states following World War II.
North Korea is officially described as a socialist republic governed according to the Juche ideology. Kim Il-Sung, the founder of North Korea, was the country's first and only president; in the North Korean constitution he is described as the Eternal President of the Republic. The de facto head of state and government is Kim Jong-Il, who is Chairman of the National Defence Commission. On April 19, 1993 a standoff between FBI agents and Branch Davidians ended in a ambush of fire that destroyed their compound located in Mt. Carmel, near Waco. Seventy-six innocent Americans, including leader David Koresh, men, ladies and children died in the mass murder conducted by the US government.
